You may want to check the Fuel line for an air leak. If it has one it will just suck air and no fuel. Other than that you may want to check the seal between the carburetor and the motor.

Take your truck to any hobby store that sells r/c trucks. They can test it and tell you what frequency it is. They will have a large variety of controllers that will work. Be careful, r/c can be addictive and can get expensive.

The cooling head is still firmly attached to your crank case? Blow on the exhaust line and force fuel through. You will almost certainly then see where your leaks are.

traxxas are excellent vehicles 4wd go for the re3vo 3.3 its made more for racing but good for anything also the4 tmaxx 3.3 all these have the trx engines which are very good reliable engines easy to tune lota fun

Most remote controls work, find out the frequency and see if you have another remote control, it may work on the gravedigger.

I don't know how much the remote control truck costs but, you can find the frequency either on the truck or the remote and go to a hobby store and buy a third party remote control and have them tune it for the frequency. It might be cheaper to buy a new truck. sorry that is the only advice I can give.
